At CLARK we take privacy protections very seriously in order to create an environment where users are comfortable providing their contributions/reactions to the site's politically related content. To this end, all content/reactions published publicly are done so anonymously.
Our scope is limited to collecting our users' name and email address, which are used to create their clarknation.org account. If a user signs into CLARK with their Google account, CLARK will only be accessing/storing their name and email address from those services. Please refer to their latest privacy policies to determine how they use user data. Viewing content on clarknation.org does not require an account, but one is necessary for users desiring to contribute or react to CLARK's content.
All private information is securely stored on Amazon Web Services servers. Standard PHP and SQL security features are employed to prevent theft of private information.
Account information is stored as long as the user has not deleted their profile on clarknation.org. When a user deletes their account on CLARK they will have the option to also delete all of their contributions/reactions on CLARK.
CLARK will NEVER sell nor share any private information to outside parties. Outside parties do not include the services used to host CLARK or the service a user uses to sign in with (Google). Please refer to their latest privacy policies to determine how they use user data.
In full compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA) we will never knowingly collect or maintain information from users under the age of 13. Additionally, CLARK is in no way intended to target users under the age of 13.
By creating an account you indicate your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time and the home page will display a notification when changes have occurred.
